On October 11-th, 2017 during a 30-th unniversary of IFAH-Europe the General Assembly voted for a new name of Animalhealth Europe. We also have a new logo depicting people, animals and the earth, signifying man’s mutually dependent relationship with animals for companionship and food products.

The Polish Association of Producers and Importers of Veterinary Medicinal Products “POLPROWET” was brought to life in order to represent interest of associated in it importers, producers and distributors of veterinary medicinal products in Poland. IFAH-Europe, the International Federation for Animal Health Europe, commissioned Produkt+Markt1 to carry out a study on citizens’ attitudes towards animal medicines in 6 EU countries in early 2016. The aim was to get a good understanding of perceptions and attitudes towards medicines and vaccines for both pets and farm animals, as well as societal benefits.

A conclusion of the workshop is that despite of quality and quantity of different law being prepared during last years, the most important is a change of mind of all actors of the food chain.
Based on openess and good will leading to smooth cooperation of all stakeholders a significat reduction of AMR is possible to be achieved what has been proven by some examples.
On the 10th annual World Rabies Day, IFAH-Europe joins forces with the Global Alliance for Rabies Control to raise awareness on the need for continued rabies vaccination obligations in the EU and support for global eradication projects.
